Hartman Architecture + Design
Hartman Architecture + Design is an architecture firm that was founded in 2014 with a focus on contemporary, sustainable design. Greg Hartman, owner and Design Architect of Hartman Architecture + Design, has over 25 years of experience producing energy efficient, eco-friendly designs for large and small residential architectural projects, including: custom home design, single-family, multi-family, planned communities, additions, and renovations. He completed his Master of Architecture at the University of Oregon with a focus in sustainable design and worked in an innovative design daylighting laboratory. Greg’s commitment to sustainable design principles is grounded in his love of the outdoors. When not working, you can find Greg out hiking, backpacking, and generally exploring the mountains and waterways of Colorado and Washington state with his family and dog, Rusty.

Sustainable Design
At Hartman Architecture + Design, we are passionate about designing spaces that minimize impacts on the environment and maximize use of the natural features surrounding the building site. We strive to bring daylight into interior spaces, use energy-efficient heating and cooling strategies, and take advantage of the natural landscape to optimize views. We also help our clients select sustainable building materials and employ healthy home design principles. Healthy homes promote physical and mental health through material selection, ventilation, daylighting, accessibility, and other strategies.
